Baptism is an exciting external act that symbolizes a life-changing internal commitment. It is a symbol of an individual’s personal relationship with God, made possible by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Baptism does not save a person or guarantee a person’s salvation; rather, baptism is a way of publicly indentifying oneself with Christ. Anyone who has placed his/her faith in Christ is encouraged to take this pivotal step of “going public” as a follower of Jesus. Ready to do that?
