Cooperation :: Epic Kidz Virtue for November

Posted on Nov 6, 2009 by darren.kizer

A government worker turned builder and a pitiful collection of refugees. A couple of “right-hand men” … and a pitiful collection of refugees. Some guys who just wanted to help a friend. And, a pitiful collection of refugees. These are the people we’re going to be talking about in November as we focus on cooperation: Nehemiah, Aaron and Hur, some friends of a paralyzed man, and a ragtag bunch called the Israelites. They were your average Joes, really, beset by everyday kinds of problems, but they all tackled some God-given task that other people might have considered a little crazy, they did everything they could think of to make it a success, they leaned on God throughout the process and trusted Him with the results, and they did it together. As a result, they were able to do more than they could’ve done on their own.

November 1: Doing the undoable takes more than me.

November 8: Look for ways to help someone succeed.

November 15: Friends who trust God work together to change lives.

November 22: Work together to get God’s work done.

Paul in Rome :: Middle School in November

Posted on Nov 6, 2009 by darren.kizer

Students in America are growing up in a culture that places high emphasis on entertainment, politics and self. It’s increasingly difficult for scriptural Truth to cut through the noise and sink into the hearts and minds of this next generation.

In these video sessions, David Nasser uses the life of Paul to highlight how followers of Christ can stand up to cultural “norms” and stand firm in Christ.

The Invisibles :: Current Series for High Schoolers

Posted on Nov 6, 2009 by darren.kizer

We are surrounded by the invisibles. These are people who simply want to know someone cares, someone notices - people who want to know God cares. Some of us would even say we feel that way - invisible to an entire world, daily passing us by. Whether that feeling is a familiar one or not, the reality is that each one of us has felt invisible at one point or another. But we didn’t stay that way. God saw us. He sees the invisibles. And because God took notice of us, we are able to open our eyes to see those around us.

November 1: Can You See Me?
Bottom Line: At some point in your life, you were invisible - but Jesus saw you.

November 8: In Focus
Bottom Line: Because we’ve been seen, we should now see the invisibles in our lives.

November 15: Seeing Beyond the Seen
Bottom Line: Jesus sees beyond our visible need to one we may not be able to see.
