Broadcast :: Every Great Story Should Told
Posted on Jul 19, 2010 by Steph.Whitacre

Last night at High School Gathering, we kicked off a 4 week series titled Broadcast; middle school students will focus on this series in Quake during the month of August. Broadcast is themed around biblical Truth outlined in the Apostles’ Creed. Dated as early as the 5th century, the Apostles’ Creed presents Christianity’s core beliefs. As Micah described it last night, if Christianity were a movie then the Apostles’ Creed would be its trailer.
Students will be challenged to consider how what they believe in their hearts will be reflected in their actions. And their actions determine what message they broadcast to those in their world. They have the choice to sound out the message of a life changed by Christ or a life just floating from day to day.
Here is the teaching schedule:
HS 7/18, MS 8/8 - God and the Trinity. What I believe about the Trinity should affect my daily actions.
HS 7/25, MS 8/15 - Jesus. It’s important to believe that Jesus is who He says He is because that gives credibility to all of His teaching.
HS 8/1 , MS 8/22 - The Church. It’s much bigger than a building.
HS 8/8 , MS 8/29 - The Future. God has a plan. What will be my life’s broadcast?
