What to Expect

When you walk into Parker Hill Community Church, you will sense a spirit of excitement and see a lot of activity. There will be plenty of people to greet you and answer questions, if you like, but you can slip in privately if you prefer. You can grab a cup of coffee, chat with someone, or find a seat where you can listen to music and anticipate what is to come.

The environment in our worship gatherings is one of expectancy. You will feel the energy that comes from gathering with a larger group of people who have come together for the specific purpose of engaging with God. Our music celebrates God through genres that are both ancient and current. You will enjoy talented musicians that play both in a high-energy and contemplative way.

Our teaching is mainly narrative in style. We take a varied approach as we teach through the Bible. At times we will teach through an entire book or an extended section of the Scriptures. Other times we will develop Biblical themes from various segments of the Bible, or study the life of a particular character in the Bible. We will also explore particular areas of deficiency in the life of Parker Hill or choose a sermon series based on current trends and events.

You will encounter children and teens, young adults, young families, empty-nesters, and folks in the sunset years of their life. Individuals come dressed in suits, jeans, ties, t-shirts, dresses, shorts, sandals, and wingtips. We are more concerned about your heart than anything else, so come as you are.

Above all, you can expect a welcoming group of people who desire to connect with God.
