if you’re at all like me, even just a smidge, then right now you’re thinking, “is this what i’m supposed to be doing with my life?  am i supposed to be doing something big and crazy for god right now rather than sit at this computer?”  but if you do have that thought, that “let’s go on a wild adventure with god” thought, then you and i are going to need an rv.  i don’t know why.  there’s not a single mention of an rv in the bible, but for some reason, there’s always a motor home involved in my god daydreams.  i think that if we asked god to go on an adventure with us, then his answer would be something like this:

do i want to go on an adventure with you?  yes!  today!  live your life as if you’re already on a crazy adventure.  i’m the god of the universe.  you’re interacting with the creator of space and time, why do you think you need an rv to have a crazy adventure?  complete and utter trust in me lives in the moments you have.  not the moments you may have in the future.  the adventure is now.  today, not some day.  how small your imagination is if you can’t see that telling a friend at school about me, about the son of mine that died on a cross for them is an adventure.  it is!  be the adventure today.

we need to stop asking god if we can go on an adventure.  that’s the wrong question.  the question is “do i want you to be the adventure?  do i want to have god in me, pouring out the greatest adventure that ever lived to everyone you come in contact with whether that’s at your desk or on a cross country rv trip?”

the answer is YES! be the adventure.

everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  so does that mean that mean that we should eat as much as we possibly can?  why don’t we listen to what some experts have to say.  check this out.

that’s a really long song, but it’s awesome.  the song is worth every bit of it.  seriously though.  it’s really important to start your day off right.  the hardest way for me to start my day is when i don’t have quality time to talk to my wife before i leave the house because my relationship with my wife is important to me.  when i am able to spend quality time with my wife our relationship is strengthened.  the same thing is true about our relationship with god.  if we don’t make it a priority to spend quality time with god then our relationship with him will not be as strong as it could be.

so ask yourself this…is the choice to spend time with god as important to you as it should be.  if you stop eating then you will starve.  if you stop spending time with god then your relationship will starve.  so eat up!
